I CONFESS!

Hey pretty girls(: so on my “TAG: My Perfect Imperfections” post  I got a lot of backlash from hater comments to hater messages basically telling me that the tag was ridiculous and I was basically promoting plastic surgery and that I need to not brag about what I like about myself and it was really mean and uncalled for. I am only human just like everyone else and I am TIRED of the rude ignorant comments. So I wanted to do another post about things that make me imperfect. NO this is not a way to look down on myself, this is my way to let you all know that I am only human and I forgot things and I have my own little quirks just like everyone else on this planet.

Confession 1: I bite my nails
Who hasn’t bit their nails at least once? I tried to stop but when I get nervous and shy, I bite my nails like there is no tomorrow. I have stopped myself from doing it randomly throughout the day but it is so hard to stop.

Confession 2: I am a compulsive hand washer
I wouldn’t say I’m like OCD about hand washing but I probably wash my hands about 5 to 10 times per hour during the spring and summer, sometimes 10 to 15 hours through the fall and winter. I don’t like having dirty hands and I always want them to feel clean.

Confession 3: I don’t really use a makeup brush for foundation or concealer
I prefer to use my fingers for my face makeup, I think it blends better and gives a more natural flawless effect. I really hate when everyone’s like “oh you don’t use a brush for that” like who made that rule up anyways? There is no little paper that comes with foundation or concealer that says “MUST USE BRUSH AT ALL TIMES”.

Confession 4: I refuse to admit I’m wrong
Even if I know I’m wrong I won’t admit it. You could say the sky is blue and I would argue that it was green and even if you gave me scientific proof AND took me outside to show me that the sky is blue, I would still say it was green. I hate being wrong.

Confession 5: I have OCD with my room
If my room isn’t the way I want it then all hell breaks loose. I am such an ‘in its place person’ that if nothing has a place or is in its place then I freak out and I feel like my world is going to explode. I know it’s a bit drastic but I like everything to be organized and completely in a specific place so I can find it all.
I hope this helped some of you out there realize I know I’m not perfect and that I’m human just like everyone else.
XOXO (:

My Everyday Makeup

Hey pretty girls(: I keep getting a lot of questions from a ton of people on here, luuux, and even friends. So to make it easier I figured I would post a blog about my everyday makeup routine. In this post I will show all the products I use on my face, eyes, and lips and the order of the products and what they are used for. I hope you all enjoy this.

Face:
First products I use to prime my face are Benefit The POREfessional and Smashbox Photo Finish Color Correcting Primer. I used the POREfessional on my nose and chin to minimize the look of pores and I use the Color Correcting Primer on my cheeks to cancel out all the redness I have. Next I use the Neutrogena Skin Clearing Concealer and Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse to conceal. I use the Dream Mouse to conceal the bags under my eyes (I use this product because it has a very yellow tint to it which is too much for my face but cancels out dark circle perfectly) and the Skin Clearing Concealer on blemishes (helps cover and heal blemishes faster). Then I mix Maybelline Fit Me! Foundation with Milani Body Bronzer (I do this because my foundation is too light for my skin tone but I didn’t want to buy something that I would only use in the summer and could possibly go bad before next summer) and use a foundation brush from Eco-tools to smooth it all over my face then I rub it in with the brush, a Mac makeup sponge, and my fingers to make sure it is extra blended. Next I use Benefit Sugar Bomb Blush on the apples of my cheeks and NARS Laguna Bronzer to contour my face (I will link a video on how to contour at the bottom) and use an Eco-tools fluffy powder brush to apply my blush and bronzer.

Eyes:
I prime my eyes with Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin (you can use any primer you want or you don’t have to use a primer at all, I just like to). Then I use my Too Faced Natural Eye Palette; first I mix ‘Silk Teddy’ and ‘Nude Beach’ together and place the colors on the inner third of my eyes and on my brow bone as a highlight with a Mac 242 Flat Shader Brush, then I mix ‘Push Up’ and ‘Honey Pot’ and place it on the rest of my eyes bringing it slightly into the crease with a Mac 242 Flat Shader Brush, then I mix ‘Erotica’ and ‘Cocoa Puff’ together and put it on the outer corner of my eyes and bring it slightly into the crease with a Mac 242 Flat Shader Brush then blend it out with a Mac 224 Tapered Blending Brush. Next I apply Milani Liquid Liner in Black to top lash line. Next I curl my lashes and apply a coat of Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume Mascara to my top lashes, let sit for 20 seconds then apply two to three coats of Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara to top lashes and one coat to bottom lashes. Next I apply L’Oreal H.I.P Cream Eye Liner in Blackest Black to my lower lash line.
Lips:
I start with using a little bit of foundation on my lips to get rid of any natural pinkish color. Then I apply N.Y.C Ultra Moist Lipstick in Mocha with Bath and Body Works Cupcakes Lip Gloss in Coconut Cream.
OR
I line my lips with Milani Lip liner in Star Flash. Then I apply NYX Lipstick in Jupiter. Then I apply Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss in Fuzzy Navel.
***I HAVE BEEN BOUNCING BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN THESE TWO LIP LOOKS.***
That was my post I hope this answered a lot of your questions if you would like to know where I got these products or how much they were comment below and I will let you know.
MAKE SURE to check out the bottom link to learn how to contour your face.
XOXO (:

My Emergency Kit

I think every girl needs to keep an emergency kit in their purse for those sticky situations. I have had one of the mini emergency kits from glitzy glam but these are things I find myself or someone else needing very frequently when I’m out somewhere. The bag I keep all these items in I got for free with a $50 purchase at Victoria’s Secret a few years ago. When I bought this clutch Victoria’s Secret was still divided into two stores, a clothing store and a beauty store, so you cannot still purchase this exact clutch but they always have these free with a certain amount of purchased items or for $10.

In here I keep:
-          Oil absorbing sheets
-          Oral-B Brush Ups
-          Mini sewing kit
-          Band aids (3 different sizes)
-          Breath spray
-          Chap stick
-          Benadryl (for allergies)
-          Tea packet (I’m on a strict diet and in case I sleep at a friend’s)
-          Pure via (I’m on a strict diet and in case I need to add some sweetness to a drink or food)
-          Cough drops
-          Orajel
-          Advil and Tylenol for headaches (kept in the mint container, smaller than a pill bottle)
-          Mini scissors
-          Nail file (emery board)
-          Cuticle sticks
-          Antibiotic cream (for cuts and burns)
That is all I keep in my emergency kit, I hope this helps some of you thinking about carrying one around with you.
If you are thinking about purchasing one of these mini emergency kits you can buy one at Sephora or go to one of the following websites:

My Perfect Imperfections

Hey pretty girls (: the other day I was watching Andreaschoice on YouTube (I will link her at the bottom) and I saw that she started this tag called My Perfect Imperfections and I thought it was an incredible idea. Nobody thinks they’re perfect and everyone has insecurity’s and the point of this tag is to let you all know that the YouTube gurus are all human JUST like us.

Since this is my favorite tag video I figured I would bring this wonderful tag onto here. What you do is you say three things you don’t really like about yourself but would never change and three things you like about yourself and explain all of your reasoning’s. Hope to see a lot more of these tags.

What I don’t like

My baby face: I have a very chubby face that does not match the rest of me, I’m a small girl I weight about 115 pounds and my face is just too chubby for the rest of me. My cheeks are very full and contouring is extremely hard with such a full chubby face.

Dark circles: No matter how much sleep I get I ALWAYS need concealer to hide the dark circles under my eyes, it’s awful. I can sleep up to 10-12 hours and I still have these ugly dark circles under my eyes that won’t go away.

My nails: My nails are so bad, they are extremely weak. No matter how much strengthening polish I use on them when I try to grow them they always break and they’re very yellow.

What I do like

My height: I love being small, I’m only 5’1. Everyone else is bigger than me and I can wear heels around my boyfriend and I’m still shorter than him. It makes me feel really cute and dainty.

My hair: My hair is my favorite thing about me. I like the blonde color and how it gets lighter in the summer, the texture because it’s naturally straight and the length because it is super long. I love that it is either perfectly straight or I can curl it like I did in all these pictures.

My eyes: Most people have brown or hazel eyes and some have blue, I’m one of those oddballs with the green eyes. From a distance my eyes are plain green but as you get closer you realize that I have a golden ring around the edges with green blue in the center with grayish running through. My eye color makes me feel very unique and different.

This is my perfect imperfections. I hope you all enjoyed and I hope to see more of these on here.
XOXO (:

Nails At Tiffany's

Did I tell you how divinely and utterly happy I am?

Who doesn’t love beautiful Tiffany & CO. jewelry? I know I do, but am I the only one who gets excited about the amazing color of the box? Tiffany’s is very famous for the robin egg blue boxes, and who can blame them? The color is truly breath taking. So when I heard about Turquoise and Caicos by Essie, it was definitely a must have for a Tiffany’s lover like me.

I have to say I am extremely impressed with this color. I saw it in Ulta yesterday and figured I would give it a try. I have two other nail polishes by Essie; “Absolutely Shore” and “Smooth Sailing” from The Braziliant Collection and I have to say I love these colors, they’re very pigmented and go on smooth. I saw Turquoise and Caicos first in a video by Blair Fowler on YouTube (juicystar07) and really adored the color, so I purchased it. I didn’t think it would be exactly similar to a Tiffany & CO. box until I got home and compared them. This nail polish is the exact color of the box, and for a Tiffany’s lover like me I was filled with pure joy.

If you love the Tiffany & CO. box color I would definitely pick up Turquoise and Caicos by Essie nail polish. If you can’t pick up this Essie polish another Tiffany’s color is “For Audrey” by China Glaze. I have never personally tried this color but I have seen it on other people and it is just like the Tiffany & CO. box as well. I would definitely recommend either of these colors for all Tiffany’s lovers. Essie polish is $8.00 and China Glaze polish is around $5.00 to $10.00, I’m not 100% positive on the China Glaze polish price.

What's In My Purse?

I’m sure we’ve all watched or heard about the “What’s in my purse?” tag that goes around the beauty community on YouTube and I have to say those are my favorite videos to watch. I decided to bring the tag onto blog sites. I tag EVERYONE who reads this, I want you all to post one of these then write a comment below to let me know if you did so I can go read it.

The purse I use every day is my Coach purse; it’s from the Coach Poppy 2009 Spring/Summer Collection. This is the Coach Poppy Op Art Lurex Glam Signature C Tote Handbag. I’m not sure if you can still buy this bag, you could still possibly buy this online.

This is an over look of evereything kept in my purse, minus the computer in the top right corner of course.

In this first half I keep:

-       The jewelry I wear on a regular bassist

-       Lotion

-       Chapstick and lipgloss

-       A scarf I was wearing today because it was kind of cold out

-       An umbrella because it was raining today

-       Keys

-       The book “Hunger Games” that I’m reading right now

-       My iPhone

-       Bed Head After Party (my holy grail item)

-       A Coach change purse where I keep all my change and recites

-       Headphones and phone charger

-       Gum, breath spray, and mini tooth brush packets

In this second half I keep:

-       A wristlet where I keep all my pens, pencils, and highlighters

-       My wallet (in here I have my I.D, money, cards, coupons for restaurants and stores)

-       Oil absorbing sheets

-       Lip conditioning tints

-       A makeup bag (in here I have powder, bronzer, liquid and pencil eye liner, two lip sticks, tweezers, and a kabuki brush)

-       A little notebook where I write Blogspot and Luuux ideas

-       Sunglasses

-       Two nail polishes

-       Cough drops

-       A mini sewing kit

-       A nail file

Ulta and CVS Haul

Today I went out shopping and I figured I could make a haul blog about what goodies I purchased. I’m very excited on what I got because all these products I’ve wanted to try or have been using for a few months and needed to stock up on. I went to Ulta and CVS.

Ulta:

- Essie Nail Polish in Turquoise & Caicos $8.00
I bought this color because I saw it in a video by YouTube guru Blair Fowler (juicystar07) and fell in love with it. It reminded me of a Tiffany & Co. box so I just had to buy it.

- NYX Lip Smacking Fun Colors lipstick in LSS 604 Jupiter $3.99
I bought this because I love NYX products and I’ve heard a lot of great things about their lipsticks so I wanted to give them a try. I really liked this pink color because it’s not a bright hot pink but it’s also not a soft baby pink, it’s right in the middle.

- Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner $18.99 in a set
I’ve used this product for years know and I really love it, I just needed to stock up on it again.

CVS:

- John Frieda Frizz-Ease Heat Defeat Protective Styling Spray $10.99
I went to buy more Chi Silk Infusion Heat Protectant but they didn’t have any more so I decided to buy this. I’ve heard good things about it before so I decided to give it a try.

- Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer $7.99
I have used this product for almost a year now and I’m very happy with it. I like to use it on the beach to help moisturize but also help add a tan to my skin.

That was my haul, I hope you all enjoyed reading about this.
XOXO(:

My Favorite YouTube Guru!

Making makeup fun since 2009 <3

I’m sure that every girl is familiar with the beauty community on YouTube. I have been into this since last summer and recently I found a guru who is I live by. Her name is Melissa but she is known on YouTube as MakeupbyMel. She does her fair share of tutorials on hair and makeup as long as blog videos (also known as vlogs) about tags going around the beauty community and special requests by her viewers. She’s a down to earth New Yorker making videos in her spare time helping out girls like me with simple beauty problems and giving me something to look forward to watching on YouTube.

Check her out (:

E.L.F Golden Bronzer Review

I would definitely recommend this bronzer for anyone who likes NARS Laguna Bronzer or likes to add a small hint of color. This bronzer comes in Cool, Warm, and Golden. Check out your local Target to see if they sell this bronzer or go to: http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/face/bronzers/bronzers
XOXO(:

Eyes Lips Face also known as E.L.F is known for being the cheapest and most affordable makeup brand in the beauty industry. Sold online and in Target stores, E.L.F has two makeup lines; the regular line that sells for $1.00 and the studio line that sells for $3.00. This is a review of the Studio Line Golden Bronzer.

I love the packaging of this bronzer, it reminds me of NARS packaging and it has such a big mirror which I also love. Not only do I love the packaging I love this product. It is a perfect bronzer to give that dewy summery glow to your skin. It has shimmer in the packaging but the shimmer does not really show up on your skin so you don’t have that fake bake look. It consists of four different shades (a light pearly white, a golden bronze, a deeper bronze, and a light pink) which you mix all together and can swirl all over your face and neck, you can also only use one, two, or three colors for the desired look.

You can also use this bronzer for a full face look. See picture above.
1)     This light pearly white color can be used for a good highlight on the top of your cheek bones.
2)     This light peachy pink color can be used as a blush on the apples of your cheeks.
3)     This golden bronze color can be used to give color to the key points of your face (nose, chin, forehead, lightly on your cheeks)
4)     This deep bronze color can be used to contour your cheeks.
